Romain and Gift Mayambi are two brothers born in the Congo DRC and moved to Cincinnati about ten years ago. Romain expresses his artistic vision through photography, capturing moments that tell compelling stories, while Gift explores traditional fine arts through various mediums. In 2023, they successfully hosted Chapter One of their exhibition, "Against the Grain," which challenged norms and embraced unconventional perspectives. As they prepare for Chapter Two, titled "Heritage," set for 2024, they aim to celebrate their cultural roots and honor the rich heritage that has influenced their artistic journeys. Both brothers are passionate about using art to unite communities and foster connections among diverse individuals.
