Heritage Afternoon Tea Series: August
About this Event
Inspired by the Fountain Inn Museum's summer exhibit, Fountain Inn Cooks, this special event celebrates the recipes, cooks, and kitchen memories that have shaped Fountain Inn for generations. Just as family recipes are lovingly passed down, Afternoon Tea offers an opportunity to slow down, gather with friends, and take in the simple joy of sharing food and conversation.
Enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea featuring a selection of 6 teas, savory bites, fresh-baked scones, and sweet treats while exploring an exhibit that brings local history to life.
Guests will also enjoy a guided tour of Fountain Inn Cooks, featuring a recreated 1910 kitchen, a vintage washing room, and a replica of the Frances Virgina Tea Room out of Atlanta. Together, these displays offer a glimpse into the daily lives, traditions, and gathering places that shaped our community.
Whether you're a history lover, tea enthusiast, foodie, or simply looking for a unique afternoon out with friends and family, the Heritage Afternoon Tea Series offers a charming experience filled with nostalgia, conversation, and local flavor.
Hats, fascinators, and tea attire are always welcome but never required!
A Mimosa Tea will be held on August 22nd, adding a bubbly twist to our classic afternoon tea experience!
