About this Event
Danielle founded the Hereditary and Genetic Cancer Foundation to help people like her and her son Brody. Danielle and Brody have a genetic mutation of the TP53 gene, leading to a condition called Li-Fraumeni Syndrome. This condition dramatically increases the possibility of getting cancer - in fact, Danielle has fought four bouts of cancer, and she’s only 46.
About the Foundation
The Hereditary and Genetic Cancer Foundation (a.k.a. HerGen Foundation) is a 501(c)3 charity centering on support for cancer patients and their loved ones throughout their cancer experience. With a focus on education and financial aid, we deliver and will expand the research that will lead to a cure. Our focus is on patients whose cancer is caused by hereditary or genetic** conditions. Our tax-deductible identification number is 86-2957742.
You Are Cordially Invited
The Foundation Launch event and fundraiser will be held at the beautiful High Hand Nursery and Cafe in Loomis, CA. Short remarks will follow a bountiful brunch, and each attendee will receive a special commemorative gift. We appreciate your support as we introduce our foundation and embark on this fantastic journey.
Additional tax-deductible donations, without fees, can be made at the event.
**Hereditary vs. Genetic: Because genetic mutations cause hereditary diseases, you may see the terms “hereditary” and “genetic” used interchangeably when referring to inherited diseases. But while a genetic disease is also the result of a gene mutation, it may or may not be hereditary.
