About this Event

HERD hosts regular events featuring amateur storytelling performances by women, for women.

HERD provides a safe and empowering space for women to share their stories—there will be no judging or winners. We draw inspiration from other storytelling events, but with a women-centered, joy-forward focus. You can simply be part of the audience and support the storytellers, or you can throw your name into the hat to be one of the 10 featured storytellers.

Interested in sharing your story? If so, please keep it under 5 minutes and make sure it's true as you remember it and personal. Also- no notes! These stories are told from the heart.

The theme for the July show is DETOUR; because life often doesn’t follow the “planned route.”

We look forward to an evening of personal stories about wrong turns, unexpected exits, surprise opportunities, and the moments that sent us places we never intended to go. The missed flight, the sudden breakup, the career change, the roadside attraction, the plot twist that changed everything. Sometimes that DETOUR becomes a great story.
