Herbst in Peking, gegründet 1987 als wilde Mixtur aus Sixties-Psychedelic und Punk-Energie und im System-Zusammenbruch mit »Bakschisch-Republik« Lieferanten einer Hymne zum historischen Vorgang, sind seit vielen Jahren schon mit elektronischer Basis und Dub-Sounds unterwegs, mittels derer die zudem von der Kult-Radioshow »Grenzpunkt Null« bekannte Dunkel-Stimme von Mastermind Rex Joswig poetische Setzungen zelebriert.  (Alexander Pehlemann, ZONIC)

Wenn Underground das ist, was unter der Oberfläche brodelt, dann sind Herbst in Peking eine Band aus dem Untergrund. Ihre Musik speist sich aus den Tiefen des Unter-Bewußtseins. Im HIP-Sound vermischen sich Rock, Electronic, Doom & Shanty zu einer zwingenden Melange. HIP schreiben eine eigene dunkle Poesie & erweisen großen Stimmen aus Vergangenheit & Gegenwart Respekt.

Herbst in Peking, founded in 1987 as a wild mixture of sixties psychedelic and punk energy, became—during the collapse of the system—the suppliers of a hymn to that historic moment with “Bakschisch-Republik.” For many years now, they have been working with an electronic foundation and dub sounds, over which the dark voice of mastermind Rex Joswig—also known from the cult radio show “Grenzpunkt Null”—celebrates poetic statements.
