Herbs for the Heart: Cultivating Love, Vitality & Connection
The heart in Ayurveda is not just a physical organ, rather it is the seat of ojas (vitality) emotion, consciousness, and connection. When the heart is nourished, we experience warmth, intimacy, resilience, and presence. When depleted, we see dryness, fatigue, anxiety, and emotional withdrawal.
Discover how herbs can nourish your heart, support vitality, and cultivate presence and connection. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the Ayurvedic perspective on heart health, including how stress, dryness, and depletion can block emotional and energetic connection. Together we’ll explore gentle self-care rituals and heart-nourishing herbs like rose, tulsi, hawthorn, shatavari, ashwagandha, maca, and cacao—plants that support the nervous system, strengthen ojas, and foster emotional warmth and connection.Participants will make and taste several remedies, including:
- Ojas-Building Hot Chocolate – a warming blend of cacao, shatavari, ashwagandha, maca, cinnamon, and ginger that supports our resilience to stress and nourishes reproductive health through a mindful, ritual experience.
- Heart-Opening Tea Blend – rose petals, tulsi, hawthorne and linden to calm stress, support emotional presence, and cultivate softness.
- Sweet, Nourishing Snacks – energy bliss bites made with dates, nuts, seeds, ghee, rose, and cardamom to build vitality, support digestion, and encourage mindful, sensory-rich consumption.
Through hands-on preparation and tasting, you’ll learn how to incorporate these herbs into daily rituals that foster presence, vitality, and self-connection—supporting love and connection from the inside out, naturally and sustainably.
