9:00 AM to Noon (3 hours)
$35.00 Per Person (16+)
$30.00 Members
Participants will learn to make herbal oils and topical salves from native plants—like those made and used by the Utes and other SW tribes. Attendees will make and take home a pine pitch salve, a sugar scrub, and a lip balm, as well as a roll-on personal “perfume.”
The class will tour the Ethnobotany Garden and learn about how the Utes used native plants for edible, medicinal, and cultural purposes. Copies of recipes will be provided to participants.
Attendees should bring their own water, a snack, hat, camera, and sunscreen. In case of rain, bring an umbrella and rain jacket for the tour.
