The cold winter air, combined with the heat and hot showers we use to fight off the chill, strips your skin of much-needed moisture. In preparation for the upcoming winter months, join estate horticulturist Charlotte Baker as she demonstrates the basic techniques for making your own lip balms, creams, and salves from herb infused oils to help soothe and heal your dry skin. Participants will make some of each emollient to take home. Please note—these recipes have been tested on only human animals (Hills & Dales staff members to be exact). $30 per person.Workshop fees include supplies and refreshments. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Members may register for workshops upon receipt of this newsletter. Registration for non-members begins August 16.
