Herb of the Month: HawthornOh, hawthorn! What's not to love about this magnificent tree? We will explore the tree, the myth, the legend, the botanical research, the beauty.
Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy for an hour and half of learning all about this powerful plant. We will connect with hawthorn through smell, taste, drawing, science, and storytelling. We will learn how hawthorn promotes cardiovascular health and how it can be used during grief.
Weather permitting, we will walk to Prospect Hill Park to meet one of our beloved Somerville hawthorns!
