We're excited to present the second installment of Sukar II, a celebration of Arabic food, music & art through a contemporary lens.
About this Event

Get ready for a high-energy takeover! Hen's Teeth is excited to present the second
installment of Sukar, an event co-curated with Moving Still. Translating to “sugar” in Arabic, Sukar is designed to be a sweet escape into a world of rhythm and flavour.

For this edition we are thrilled to collaborate with Romaisa, founder of Middle East Achieve, for a special evening at Hen's Teeth. The event will feature a stunning collection of photographs that highlight the rich, diverse heritage of the Middle East.

Alongside the exhibition we're welcoming Hader from Sanaa's Kitchen, the Amsterdam based pop up kitchen that celebrates the OG Egyptian falafel with a recipe that's been passed down from Hader's Grandfather.

We’ll kick things off with an early exhibition & food pop up from 2pm, with a party that kicks on into the evening. Free entry early doors, tickets available for those that are coming through for a dance :)
The Sukar Agenda:
2pm - 6pm: Middle East Archive Exhibition2pm - 10pm: Sanaa's Kitchen serving from the pass
8 PM - 12.30am: DJ sets from Moving Still, Manal, Nora Moon and DJ Karmawi

His eclectic and groundbreaking sound has stormed the festival circuit, topping Rush Hour charts and securing coveted spots on Spotify editorial playlists like Altar and Future Pioneer. He has earned unwavering support from the likes of Palms Trax, Hunee, Laurent Garnier, Esa Williams, Nabihah Iqbal, Skatebård, David Vunk, Barbara Boeing, Paula Tape, Eclair Fifi, Marvin & Guy, CC:DISCO!, Yu Su, and other heavyweights.
Moving Still is known for his HINRG productions such as “Sidi Mansour” by Cheba Yamina, a festival favourite worldwide. The track has been featured by Mixmag and included in Resident Advisor’s annual playlist 'Best Vocal Bangers'. His original track “Al Disco Haram” was featured by Sloth Boogie and praised for its grumbling
Italo-esque bassline. It was also highlighted in Nabihah Iqbal's sets, which further boosted his global reputation. Additionally, “Al Disco Haram” was chosen as a highlight track in the BBC documentary “A Little Flat: The Music Our Ears Overlook” by Nabihah and Nooriyah.
Manal
Manal is a DJ and visual artist originally from Morocco, who grew up in Italy, and currently calls Dublin home. Her sets are a dynamic fusion of percussive genres, fierce techno, and groovy ballroom house that ignite the dance floor.
With her mixes, Manal is dedicated to promoting inclusivity within the local club culture. She prioritizes uplifting marginalized communities, particularly advocating for queer and SWANA representation in the club scene. Her aim is to cultivate spaces where everyone feels valued and empowered to express themselves freely.
Nora Moon
