Hens and Chicks Chicken Painting

Ever wanted to paint a chicken? Maybe even your chicken! Come explore the wonder that is chicken painting. From texture to color we will paint our chickens with elegance and grace. You supply the picture and Studiotails will bring a fully sketched canvas, paints, and brushes to play with. No live chicken models are necessary.

A picture of your chicken must be submitted in advance so that Emily has time to sketch your chicken on canvas for you to paint. Instructions on how to send this photo will be included in your registration confirmation email.

When: Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 12:30-200 PM

Where: Piedmont Feed & Garden Center - 4805 NC Hwy 54 West, Chapel Hill, NC 27516

Cost: $35 for an 11x14 canvas (Price includes paint/brushes for the event.)

Class Limit: This event is limited to 15 painters. Each painter must register in advance.

Meet the artist:

Emily is a local artist, live wedding painter, author, and owner of a small business named StudioTails. From large paintings to small ink prints, Emily always has a piece of art in progress. Her business is focused on capturing life's big moments and commemorating loved ones (whether they are pawed, two-legged, or feathered.) Aside from her artwork, she is a new mother to a lovely little one, a wrangler to a flock of errant chickens, and an inspired gardener.
