On Sunday, December 14, 2025, Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site invites the public to an event commemorating the 250th Anniversary of Henry Knox’s Noble Train of Artillery. Join us 1 to 5 pm for an immersive historical reenactment as the ceremonial linstock arrives at Schuyler Mansion in Albany. Interact with historical reenactors and enjoy 18th century refreshments. This outdoor event is free and open to the public.Stay for “Knox’s Layover at Albany,” guided dramatic tours offered on the half hour, from 2-4:30pm (last tour is at 4pm). Witness Knox’s stay at the mansion, his impact on the household, and Philip Schuyler’s role as host and facilitator of the wagon train’s vital passage through Albany and over the Hudson River. This event is part of a larger Knox Trail 250 simulation of the historic journey, which includes dozens of towns from New York to Massachusetts. The next stop will be Crailo State Historic Site in Rensselaer, on January 3.
Please note that only a few spaces are available in the parking lot, for visitors with mobility concerns only. Visitors are advised to allow extra time for free street parking.
