Henri Matisse Cut-Outs Collage

Join us for a fun workshop creating collages and illustrations—the Matisse way!

Students will learn to create a collaged image with your preferred subject matter of choice. The focus will be on creating mirror images.

Topics Covered:

• Basic illustration techniques
• "Drawing with Paper” techniques
• DIY painted papers to use in your work
• Creative drawing techniques
• Pattern creation

In this workshop, students will leave with 1 or 2 finished collages after the workshop and a greater sense of confidence in creating illustrated works of art!

Supply List:

• Various acrylic and watercolor paints
• Sketchbook paper (mixed media or watercolor)
• Paper for sketching
• Scissors
• Markers, pencils, regular pens, etc...
• Various brushes
• Fork
• Glue stick or rubber cement​
