As a young woman Margaret Cotros visited a Birmingham Alabama Greek Church during their
Greek Pastry Sale. She came back to Memphis and said, “We’re going to do this!” Margaret saw
the enjoyment people had tasting delicious Greek Pastries. She then decided that the Memphis
Greek Community should also host a Greek Pastry Sale. What started as a small Greek Pastry Sale
has evolved into a Mid-South Tradition that 15,000+ people enjoy each May.
As we Celebrate the 64th Anniversary of out Memphis Greek Festival, we invite you to embrace our
Heritage, Culture and love of our Orthodox Faith, Food and Family. Margaret Cotros, along with
her Husband Harry, whose names you will see dedicated on our beautifully renovated Fellowship
Hall, believed in each of these qualities just as the members of this church believe.
We thank you for coming to our Festival and hope you enjoy being Greek for the day. But most of
all we hope you have fun making memories with your Family and Friends.
The early years were only Pastry sales. The very first year our sales total was approximately $500.
Today we have over 15,000+ attendees over our two-day festival.
Approximately 2000+ cars come to our drive through.
Each year we serve more than:
• 7000 Kebabs
• 5000 Gyros
• 1500 slices of Pizza
• 7500 servings of Spanikopita
• 1500 pounds pork tenderloin for Souvlakia
• 450 loaves of sweet bread
