Hemet Film Festival 2024

The Hemet Film Festival is an annual celebration of independent films hosted at the Historic Hemet Theatre, a beautiful 100-year-old movie palace located right in the heart of downtown. All films and parties will be hosted at the theater so filmmakers and guests can experience this one-of-a-kind location.

62 Films will be screened at this year's festival (over 50 of which were created by Inland Empire/Southern California based filmmakers).

Films are broken into blocks: Documentary, Animation/Experimental, Comedy, Horror, Student and more!

We have 2 feature length presentations this year:

• "Hemet or the Landlady Don't Drink Tea," a horror/comedy that takes place in our fair city
• "Everything Must Go," a concert film celebrating the legacy of Hemet's recently closed Music Store

Opening Night Party is open to the public and will be held on Nov 8th at the Historic Hemet Theater. Come and meet local filmmakers and explore this historic venue. There will even be a FREE SUPER SECRET SCREENING at 8:30pm on the opening night.
