Step into history and train in the German longsword tradition. Whether you're brand new or experienced, our school offers a welcoming place to learn real martial skill.
What is HEMA?
Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) is the study and practice of real combat techniques from historical manuals.
We focus on the German longsword system of Johannes Liechtenauer and his students, blending history, athleticism, and strategy into a modern training environment.
Who can participate?
We provide class space for students aged 16 and older, with age exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis. Newcomers and students have access to group equipment and will receive one month of complimentary tuition to kickstart their journey.
Class Time & Location:
Classes are from 6:30–8:30 PM CST.
Join us at Gray's Lake Park – please park in the Southeast Lot.
Tuition:
May through August: $30 per month
September through April: $50 per month
