At the beginning of August, a building on King Street collapsed leaving several Hamilton families homeless. Not only were they left without a home, but they lost absolutely everything. The city has deemed the property unsafe leaving the residents unable to go inside...not even to rescue their pets. They also have a lifetime of possessions and furniture that they have been forced to write off for good. This devastation has forced them into starting over. What's even worse is, there has been no offers of help from the government to get them back on their feet. Without expecting something so horrendous happening, no one was financially prepared for something like this. Without insurance or help from the city, they are forced to ask family, friends and our fellow residents of Hamilton for any help possible. With cold weather coming fast, we need to get everyone safe and comfortable again. We are also hosting a fundraiser at Fragoso Bar & Grill for the small necessities. On this date, there will be a super fun party and lots of PRIZES to raffle off.
