How to build post-career wealth for professional athletes

Welcome to the first in a series of twelve events, hosted by Cameron Bell from Fideura Wealth, which will take place between September 2026 and September 2027. Do you want to learn more about how to build post-career wealth and manage your transition out of sport?
Join us for a short presentation and evening of networking, in the leafy Hampstead suburbs, where we'll dive into the challenges professional athletes face when planning for sporting retirement and ways to overcome these challenges, such as:

• Why standard retirement planning doesn't work for you, including:
• Pension wrapper issues for early retirement;
• Annual allowance taper issues for high earners;
• State pension inadequacies.
• Threats to your wealth, such as:
• The luxury trap;
• Inflation;
• Taxation;
• Divorce.
• Common tax issues UK-based athletes face, such as:
• Whether to be a sole trader or limited company;
• Foreign income and gains regime;
• Inheritance Tax Mitigation.
• Solutions, including:
• Off & Onshore Bonds;
• Investment management;
• Holistic plans;
• Education.

Whether you're just starting your career, near the end or somewhere in between, this event is all about educating you on the pitfalls athletes often face, so you have a better chance at avoiding crushing (but often common) mistakes. Come down, educate yourself and connect with other likeminded individuals.

There will be free tea, coffee, bottled water, fruit and other snacks served.

Getting There:

The event will be in the Sixth Form Centre of UCS Senior School.

UCS is a 0.5-mile walk away from Finchley Road station (Metropolitan & Jubilee line), a 0.3-mile walk away from Finchley Road and Frognal Station (Mildmay line) and a 0.6-mile walk away from Hampstead station (Northern line).

If driving, there will be a few limited spaces available on site. Parking restrictions on the roads around the school end at 19:00, and ample parking can be found on Frognal, Frognal Lane, Lindfield Gardens, Chesterford Gardens and Redington Road.
