OzFish have been working closely with the Dalton Community Association and Gunning District Landcare to remove woody weeds within Oolong Creek, and we need your help!

Oolong Creek is a small tributary of Jerrawa Creek in the upper Lachlan River catchment and holds the fourth known population of the Southern pygmy perch.

In New South Wales the Southern pygmy perch has undergone major declines and is now only found from four broad locations. There is a real threat that they may become extinct, and OzFish, Dalton Community Association and Gunning District Landcare would like to enhance the habitat of the creek to improve their chances of survival.

The planned on-ground works will start at the Gary Cosgrove bridge in Dalton, NSW and move downstream working on both sides of Oolong Creek.

OzFish Unlimited will provide the fully equipped River Repair Bus, the required PPE and water. All you need to bring is food.
