This year’s Community Celebration will be a series of six (6) events taking place on the last three weekends in October from Saturday 10/16 - Sunday 10/31. All events will begin with pre-fundraising yoga from 10 - 11 am, followed by the main event from 12 noon - 3 pm of an afternoon of food, music, art activities, city officials and speakers, community booths, entertainment, covid friendly kids activities and vendors. At every event, Hello Neighbor will host a citywide meet your neighbor Community Celebration consisting of name tags and an interactive art projects including the our featured artist Nae’Keisha Jones working on her Hello Neighbor community mural project and an interactive sculpture made collaboratively with by Lisa Rundstrom and community and local neighborhood association groups called the “Monument of the Now”.
On Sunday 10/17 Hello Neighbor SAV will present a free citywide concert at the Forsyth Bandshell featuring music by JD Music Group Live from 3 - 4 pm.
There are FIVE ways to participate: 1- as a participant, by coming and participating in the free interactive art and community building activities. 2 – as a Neighborhood Association table. 3 – as a non-profit table or artist providing a service, entertainment, musician, speaker or interactive artwork at the event. 4 - as a vendor selling your own local products to support the event with a $25 vendor fee for 1 event- or- $35 to participate in all 6 events. 5 - as a supporter by providing an in-kind or financial donation for this and other free Hello Neighbor SAV events.
