For whom:
Open to all interested individuals, regardless of prior rescue or medical qualifications.
Training modules include:
Coordination with the pilot and helicopter emergency medical crew
Establishing radio communication with the aircraft
Aerial insertion of personnel and equipment – including live onboard flights
In-flight safety procedures and helicopter interior operations
Airborne direction and navigation support to incident sites
Loading a stretchered casualty onto the helicopter with rotors turning (hot loading)
Casualty evacuation by helicopter, including in-flight medical care
Planning and setting up a landing zone (LZ)
Ground handling and reception of the helicopter
Duration:
Three intensive days of practical training and flight operations
