DF Concerts presents: Helicon (Fuzz Club) bring their irresistible, psychedelic groove machine back to Glasgow, premiering new material from their forthcoming album alongside old fan favourites. Helicon blends neo-psych-rock with sitars, electronica and irresistible grooves. Channelling their love for 60s counter-culture and contemporary experimentation to create a fresh and distinctive take on psychedelia.
The band was formed by brothers John-Paul and Gary Hughes in East Kilbride, Glasgow. They signed to Fuzz Club in 2017 and have released 3 studio albums, 2 live albums, 2 EPs and 2 stand-alone singles to date.
They are currently recording their 4th studio album at Mogwai’s Castle of Doom studio in Glasgow, due for release on Fuzz Club early 2026.
Over the last few years, the band has been regularly heard on BBC Radio 6 Music and previously collaborated on recordings with Tony Doogan (Mogwai / Delgados / Belle & Sebastian / David Byrne), Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spiritualized, Dead Skeletons), Mark Gardener (Ride) and LA-based DJ/producer Al Lover.
