DF Concerts presents: Helicon (Fuzz Club) & Spacial Awareness (Chris Geddes and Dave McGowan from Belle & Sebastian) live at Glasgow's King Tut's.
Helicon’s psychedelia blends guitars, sitars, electronica, and irresistible grooves. Merging their love for ‘60s counter-culture with contemporary experimentation.
The band was formed by brothers John-Paul and Gary Hughes in East Kilbride, Glasgow. They signed to Fuzz Club in 2017 and have released 3 studio albums, 2 live albums, 2 EPs and 2 stand-alone singles to date.
Their 4th studio album, a collaboration with LA-based artist and DJ AL Lover, is due for release on Fuzz Club early 2026.
Over the last few years, the band has been heard regularly on BBC Radio 6 Music and previously collaborated on recordings with Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spiritualized, Dead Skeletons), Mark Gardener (Ride), Tony Doogan (Mogwai / Delgados / Belle & Sebastian / David Byrne), and LA-based DJ/producer Al Lover.
Spacial Awareness is the new project from Belle and Sebastian’s Chris Geddes and Dave McGowan. Inspired by 70s German pioneers like Neu! and Harmonia, Brian Eno’s ambient works, and the synth explorations of Kraftwerk and Jean-Michel Jarre, the duo trade pop song structures for space, texture and repetition, crafting music that feels like wandering through empty deserts, looking up at endless stars, and losing yourself in the vastness of it all.
