Experience Heirloom Apples at one of our biggest events of the year!
Learn about cooking in times past from our docents, dressed in 19th century period clothing, as they prepare fall foods over wood-burning fires. Also, visit our one-room schoolhouse for a history lesson and create an “apple” craft to take home.
Don’t forget to bring your camera and capture an autumn photo of your family.
On Sunday, September 26, from 1-4pm, step back in time at the Durant House (built in 1843) and Sholes School (built in 1872) and embrace fall and with its most iconic fruit!
Invite your friends and family to one of the most delicious days of Fall!
Event is free. We appreciate donations of $3 for adults and $1 kids. Durant House and Sholes Schoolhouse is located within the LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve at 37W700 Dean St in St. Charles. For more information email us at [email protected] or call 630-377-6424.
