This Cocktail Pairing Event will feature our musical selections along with the mixologist perspective. We will examine how one art form can impact the other in this delicious musical event. Join us as we talk about the creative process and as we explore the interplay between taste and sound. Cocktails are not included in registration, the Seventh Son Bar is open for ordering throughout the event. Non Alcoholic Drink options are available.
Heirloom is a concert series presenting compositions with a unique blend of the familiar and innovative. The ensemble explores musical narratives and ancestral relationships through three distinct performances with our debut at the Johnstone Fund for New Music Short North Stage series (Free), a family interactive concert at the Bexley Library (Free), and an intimate cocktail pairing with mixologists at Seventh Son Brewing Co. ($10 per ticket).
Featured on our program will be beloved works in the violin/cello repertoire by Zoltán Kodaly and Erwin Schulhoff, as well as lesser-known works by Adolphus Hailstork and a world premiere by Sharon Udoh (Commissioned by the Johnstone Fund for New Music).
