In partnership with our friends at the UMass Fine Arts Center, we are thrilled to welcome John Cameron Mitchell in person, who will provide live commentary throughout a screening of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH and conduct a post-film Q&A with the audience.
A genderqueer punk-rocker from East Berlin tours the U.S. with her band as she tells her life story and follows the former lover/band-mate who stole her songs.
Written by, directed by, and starring John Cameron Mitchell, this 2001 cult sensation is adapted from the award-winning 1998 rock musical, with music and lyrics by Stephen Trask and book by Mitchell.
