HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH is the post-punk, neo-glam rock odyssey your soul’s been yearning for!Adapted from the musical of the same name, the movie follows Hedwig, an “internationally ignored” gender-queer rocker born in divided Berlin. Escaping from her native East Germany, she tours the U.S. with cheap gigs in search of fame and success. As she pursues an ex-lover who made it big by stealing her songs, Hedwig tries to make sense of her past trauma and relationships and find the fulfillment that she’s been looking for all her life.
Journeying through love, longing, and pain, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is filled with both tenderness and humor in a true testament to the transcendent power of rock and roll.
