Sara Marie Barron is a Detroit-raised, Los Angeles-based artist whose sound bridges the gap between mid-century soul and cinematic art-pop. With a voice described as having the "swoon of soul" and the "charisma of jazz," Barron creates music for the "California Blues" -- that specific, hollow disorientation of reaching for a dream only to find a different kind of loneliness waiting there.
Her upcoming EP, Heaven’s Right Here, is her most definitive vision yet. Forged from formative years spent in Detroit and Nashville, the project blends the frankness of Americana songwriting with a deep appreciation for the soul-restorative slow jams of 90s R&B.
Thematically, Barron explores the pitfalls of societal expectations on love, faith, and success, ultimately finding redemption through honesty and deep connection. Influenced by the lush melancholia of Lana Del Rey, the artful vulnerability of Mitski, and the "existential glam" of her roots, she remains a voice for the dreamers who aren’t afraid to look at the blue reality behind the golden light.
