About this Event

Heather Maloney

Heather Maloney is a Massachusetts-based “writer song-singer” whose music bridges folk intimacy with lyrical depth and emotional candor. She discovered songwriting during three years at a meditation center, where silence sharpened her sense of observation and reverence for storytellers like Joni Mitchell and the anonymous authors of Zen parables.

Now a seasoned touring artist with over 1,000 shows and eight albums behind her, Maloney prepares to release her most personal record yet, Exploding Star (2025). Written in the wake of her father’s passing, the album is both heartbreaking and celebratory — recorded partly in her abandoned childhood home and featuring her father’s guitar throughout. With production by Don Mitchell (Darlingside) and arrangements by High Tea, the songs move between lush, cathartic crescendos and hushed, reflective spaces.

Maloney’s past work has drawn praise from PopMatters, The Bluegrass Situation, and The New York Times, with collaborations alongside Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith, Lake Street Dive’s Rachael Price, and folk legend Jay Ungar. She’s toured with Shakey Graves, Gary Clark Jr., Dar Williams, and more, steadily building a reputation for music that is brave, luminous, and profoundly human.

“Utterly gorgeous – visceral.” – Val Haller, New York Times

“Her not-so-secret weapon is that voice ”– Boston Globe

Dan Rodriguez

Dan Rodriguez is a Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter with a sound that blends Americana, soul, and rock into music that’s as heartfelt as it is hook-filled. Known for his warm vocals, sharp storytelling, and magnetic stage presence, Rodriguez has steadily built a loyal following across the country through relentless touring and a growing catalog of irresistible songs.

He’s shared stages with The Civil Wars, Needtobreathe, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, and Andy Grammer, while also seeing his music featured in national ads for brands like Budweiser, Jeep, and Target. His 2020 album 25 Years showcased both his big-hearted balladry and his ability to deliver crowd-shaking anthems, earning him spots on major playlists and spins across AAA radio.

On stage, Rodriguez is a storyteller and showman, weaving humor and honesty into sets that feel like a gathering of friends. Whether it’s a soulful slow-burn or a foot-stomping rocker, he delivers every song with grit, grace, and undeniable heart. With new music on the horizon and a live show built to uplift, Dan Rodriguez is an artist you experience as much as you hear.
