To kick-off Heat Week, we will hold a commemorative event at the Gardens to remember those who passed away in the 2021 heat dome.About this Event
This event will feature a lineup of speakers - including elected officials and staff from a variety of organizations in the region - who will share past experiences and new developments relevant to heat preparedness. Refreshments and networking to follow.
Confirmed speakers include Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury, Milwaukee Mayor Mark Gamba, Multnomah County Health Officer Jennifer Vines, and organizational leaders from local organizations Verde, Friends of Trees, Portland Clean Energy Fund, and more!
