CURAWAKA DREAMTIME TOUR 2023

Album Release Ceremonial Concert

29 en 30 September 2023

Dominicuskerk Amsterdam

Ticketsales starts Wednesday April 19th at 10:00 CET

What a honor and pleasure to organize and hold space again for the ceremonial concert of Curawaka! This year not only one but TWO evenings as we are slowly stepping into autumn season to harvest the fruits of our dreams.

It was in the midst of COVID that Curawaka played in Amsterdam for only 40 people (due to the regulations) in the immense Dominicuskerk and one year later at our HeartFire CampOut in pristine nature.

Their medicine music invites you to connect with your authentic self, remembering that we are one with nature and that singing, praying and dancing are the gateways to a life of harmony, joy, connection and love.

May the sacred ceremonial music and the deeply touching prayers open your heart and lift your spirit high!

Dreamtime Tour 2023

Curawaka is launcing their long awaited secone album Dreamtime. It is the story of the souls journey through our earthly existence and our heavenly beyond. With songs in English, Spanish, Norwegian, Inuit and Shawandawa language, the voice of vocalist and songwriter Anna Bariyani transcends cultural borders and separation, and calls for unity amongst all

tribes. With their exquisite and unique musical craftsmanship, Curawaka weaves a magical tapestry through sound and soul, with stitches of world root rhythms and celestial melodies, through fabrics of waking and dreaming reality, with visions of hope and union of all guardians of life on Earth.

«Dreamtime» is a prayer, supported spiritually and musically by powerful voices of indigenous traditional wisdom keepers from Greenland, Norway, Mexico, Columbia and Brazil. In this way,

Curawaka continues to give a platform to indigenous voices, insisting that we listen to the elders of First Nations communities in order to navigate through the challenges of our time.

BIOGRAPHY:

Curawaka is an international quartet of unique soundscapes, mixing elements from indigenous traditions, traditional Latin-American folk rhythms and soaring melodies from

Scandinavian folklore.

Curawaka has spent years living with, and learning from, indigenous tribes all over the globe.

Their music is rich with harmonies from the natural world, with songs that echo the movement of a worldwide native culture, and celebrate the voices of First Nation Peoples, their spirituality and relation to the land. Their debut album, ‘Call Of The Wild’, released in 2019 on Nixi Music, launched Curawaka

into wider public awareness. With hits including ‘Noku Mana’, ‘Cuñaq’, ‘Te Nande’ and ‘He Yama Yo’, they have reached the hearts of not only global underground earth warriors, but

also the larger scene of alternative music, especially fans of folk and world music. In 2021 alone ‘Call Of The Wild’ received over 13 million plays on Spotify and YouTube, with numbers constantly rising.
