Anyone who has ever been to Confest knows exactly what the 'Open Stage' is all about. If you're unfamiliar, then just know that it's the most warm, fun, and heartfelt open mic event in existence. HeartBeats draws inspiration from the Open Stage to bring you those tasty feelings of music, expression, creativity, surprises, community, and connection. After a wildly successful first official HeartBeats, we are stoked to announce that the next edition of HeartBeats will be held again in the Agora Room at the vibey Brunswick community events hub of Moss Studios.

HeartBeats is an open mic at its essence, but it is so much more. You’re invited to come and share your open heart with a present audience who are primed to receive and show appreciation. Expressions come in the shapes and forms of music, poetry, comedy, or whatever the performer chooses. Due to the vast number of talented humans in the HeartBeats community, please get down early and put your name on the list, because we won't have time to put everyone on. Apologies in advance to those who won't make it on, but more reason to keep coming along.

HeartBeats Local Artist Grant:
The HeartBeats family are proud to announce the launch of our first Local Artists Grant – and we want YOU to enter!
For our first Local Artists Grant we will use 50% of the proceeds from our events to date. This means that as we put aside proceeds from the events we are making sure those funds go straight back into the community via this grant. As the event grows we’d love to continue to provide community grants. We are still working out what the next grant or community funding will look like - stay tuned.
The grant will be available to all local artists that have a vision for their art: be it music production, poetic, visual, performative, comedic, prophetic, digital, dramatic, and so on. Basically, anything you’d love to make but haven’t been able to raise the funds for… we got you. We’ll announce more details at the July 7 event.
