We will be hosting a panel featuring past Black & Indigenous Personnel Award recipients alongside leaders in cardiovascular care and health equity. Your attendance directly supports future Personnel Awards for Black & Indigenous Scholars, a partnership between Brain Canada, the CIHR Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health, and Heart & Stroke, to strengthen representation and capacity in Canada’s heart and brain research community.

You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished media or derivative works and release Heart & Stroke, its officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and assigns from any claims or liability related to the use of your likeness, including but not limited to claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, or misappropriation.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, it is your responsibility to notify an event organizer upon arrival; however, Heart & Stroke cannot guarantee that you will not be incidentally included in broader event footage or photos.
