Throughout May and June, central Illinois community members will have the opportunity to nominate active and former members of the US Armed Forces that they consider a hero deserving of recognition for community service and dedication to promoting the health, safety, and happiness of those around them.
The Heart of Illinois Fair staff selects the top 12 nominees to honor and celebrate during the opening ceremony for the 75th HOI Fair on July 16, 2024.
During this ceremony, each honoree will be presented with an award package filled with locally made items, gift cards, and many other benevolences!
