This workshop guides dancers into the heart and art of contact improvisation. Get ready to expand your movement skills and express your heart in the (dance) world. With Asena & Christian. @ WUK 1090 Vienna.
This workshop is a special collaboration between Christian and Asena (Co-Teaching). For both of us contact impro is a physical dance, that opens up a space for heartful connections and artful expression.
We will start with solo explorations that awaken subtle shifts in body awareness, fluidity, and dynamic alignment. Then we’ll move into partner practices—playing with weight transfers, spiraling continuums, counterbalances, and of course, lift sequences.
And yes, Contact Impro is more than a technique, it’s a language of life. So how can we express our heart and art through embodied connection? Together we will explore with joy and compassion the art of contact improvisation and the courage it takes to be authentic and our real Self on the dance floor.
