February is Heart Health Month!
Let's get moving! Join us for a presentation about Heart Health and safe exercises - with Lisa from the One Door Center (for Chronic Disease Management). All are welcome! About the presenter: Lisa Cook, RN, BN, CDE.
Lisa was born and raised in Westville, and graduated from the Aberdeen Hospital School of Nursing in 1987. She has worked mainly in intensive care and received her Critical Care Nursing diploma in 1994.
Ms. Cook graduated with Bachelor of Nursing (Honors) from Athabasca University in 2008. She has worked at the One Door since 2009 and received her Certified Diabetes Educator designation in 2014. Lisa is also certified in insulin adjustment and a Certified Insulin Pump trainer. She is passionate about education, exercise, and all thing related to heart health.
Lisa is currently on the Provincial Cardiac Rehab team who are developing a comprehensive public website on heart health and cardiac rehab. She loves exercising, especially walking. Lisa also loves to cook and is often thinking about new recipes while she is walking.
