Since its founding in 2023, Xinsheng has been guided by one simple goal: empower everyone to sing with confidence. With no audition requirements and open arms for all who share a love of singing, the choir has grown into one of the most active Chinese choral organizations in the New York area, with over 450 cumulative members in under three years.

Tonight, all four of Xinsheng's ensembles come together: the Children's Choir, the Flushing Choir, the Manhattan Choir, and the Chamber Choir — our founding ensemble, now in its eighth season.

Xinsheng is dedicated to performing Chinese-language music overseas, singing the melodies that resonate with the Chinese diaspora, while continually elevating its artistry through collaborations with talented composers and musicians. In 2025, the choir was invited to perform at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and in July of that year, at Carnegie Hall.

Tonight marks Xinsheng's largest solo concert to date. In a world where cultural and territorial conflicts continue to escalate, we hope that tonight's music carries our call for cultural inclusion, our love of song, and the shared resonance of the overseas Chinese community — connecting to one another, and expressing who we are, through music.
