HEAR THE MACHINE #22
July 26th 2026
7pm doors
$15/10 (no presales)
The artists:
Infinity Deck
Gus Franklin and Janita Foley aka Infinity Deck, share an affinity with such artists as Brian Eno and Laurie Anderson, known lover of the pop world who are low-key secretly at home creating tripped-out incense-fuelled soundscapes. Their ever evolving sound is drawn from obsessive experimentation with their chosen machines, and their live set promises to steep listeners in a harmonic world of skewed motorik beats, unpredictable arp patterns and any pad they can find that is straight up bliss-inducing.
hope.dmg
hope.dmg makes experimental electronic music primarily written and performed using a Dirtywave M8 tracker. Their music is influenced by experimentations and mutations in a range of global and peripheral electronic genres, including Baile Funk and Bruxaria, Kuduro, Footwork, Singeli, Gqom and Grime as well as experimental Hip-Hop and Club sounds closer to home in Naarm, Australia.
Tell Me Strangely
Tell Me Strangely explore improvised and spontaneous free-form compositions using an ever changing and evolving variety of synthesisers, electronic effects, modified and hacked toys, field recordings and electro acoustics. The result is ever changing according to the choice of sound sources and the intuition of the performers. For the performance at "Hear the Machine” Tell Me Strangely will perform as a duo of Dale Chapman and David Powell.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the true owners and custodians of the land where this event takes place. Always was. Always will be.
