Healthy Soil, Healthy Trees
About this Event
Soil amendments have long been used in arboriculture to support tree health, but today’s expanding range of products—from biochar and organic fertilizers to mycorrhiza, seaweed, humic acids, and biostimulants—raises an important question: What actually works?
Dr. Glynn Percival, Senior Arboricultural Researcher for Bartlett Tree Laboratories, will examine the potential benefits and limitations of modern soil amendments, with a focus on improving soil health, supporting root development, and increasing tree resilience to drought, heat, pests, and disease. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of where soil amendments can make a meaningful difference in the longevity of our trees.
Join us for refreshments and a light dinner at 5:30pm followed by guest speaker Dr. Glynn Percival at 6pm.
