The Joplin Family Y sets kids up for a healthy start to the summer at Healthy Kids Day sponsored nationally by Peanuts. Free and open to our community. The first 100 children will receive a free Healthy Kids Day T-shirt sponsored by Hometown Pediatrics and a coupon for a free bike helmet courteousy of sponsors Aaron Sachs & Associates. Special appearances by Snoopy and Four States Characters! Fitness activities will include Zumba Kids and Kids HIIT the Turf. Fun and games to include balloon animals, corn hole, basketball throws, super-sized bowling, 4-square, tug of war, and mini-indoor soccer. Cotton candy sweet treats for the kids provided by Central City Christian Church. Tropical Smoothie will provide 100 smoothies along with coupons. 7th Street Wal-Mart will sponsor a healthy eating station where kids will "build a healthy smile." First Responders with their vehicles will entertain the kiddos in our south parking lot. So many more planned activities! Save the date and stay tuned for updates!
