Anthony Serna has been on his path to helping others since successfully reversing his own health conditions. In May 2004, Anthony Serna embarked on a deployment with the US Navy and chose to start a healing journey. This healing journey allowed Anthony to lose 90lbs, reverse conditions such as anxiety, depression, sleep disorder, borderline diabetes, and other related issues.
When Anthony returned from the deployment in December of 2004, he decided to run his first marathon. Anthony completed the Honolulu Marathon and from there started helping his fellow sailors improve their health. In 2006 Anthony volunteered at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Honolulu where he met a good friend and helped him start Accessurf to help families with family members with physical and or mental challenges to enjoy open water activities. Anthony became a US Navy Rescue swimmer and continued to support this cause on his free time.
Anthony then became involved with different community relations projects while deployed. Anthony became the command health and fitness coordinator as well as the Command Lay Leader where he also became a counselor for the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Management Team, helping sailors and soldiers through difficult situations.
In 2007 Anthony moved to San Diego and started volunteering with the Gerson Institute while still serving in the Navy. Anthony became a certified Yoga Instructor and soon after became certified as a Gerson Therapy Home Care Setup Trainer by 2009.
Anthony traveled to Eugene, OR and assisted his first case, a 68 year old man diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer who was given just a month to live. Anthony assisted the man for 10 days. The man reversed his cancer and lived an extra 6 years. In addition to helping this man, Anthony has helped people suffering cancer of the pancreas, prostate, uterus, breast, non Hodgkin lymphoma, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and more.
