AGL is Australia's largest polluter, responsible for 8% of Australia's emissions. Join us for a creative action known as a “Die-in” to publicise the health impacts of AGL's pollution and call for an urgent transition to cleaner energy. Healthcare workers in professional dress will tend to people pretending to fall ill from air pollution and climate change. With luck we’ll bring patient gowns, intravenous fluid poles and lines, and oxygen masks, creating a street theatre piece that will be impossible to ignore.
There will be a range of guest speakers and members of the health community and allies taking part. There will be roles for all interests in this peaceful, legal demonstration. The more people attend, the stronger our message will be. Please RSVP and encourage friends and colleagues to do the same!
