The 12 Oaks Dental team, along with some of our partners in healthcare, are excited to spend a few days exploring what it means for you to be a part of a complete health dental practice. We invite you to come and bring a guest. There will be something for everyone.
A little about our partners in healthcare who will be joining us:
Cardiorisk providing CIMT:
Measuring the thickness of the intima and media layers of the carotid artery wall (carotid intima-media thickness, or CIMT) is one way to assess the cardiovascular health of your patients. This non-invasive procedure gives you another tool in your toolbox to further solve the diagnostic puzzle and help you accurately assess disease presence, risk of events, and progression of the disease before your patient presents with acute symptoms. ***Call Carrie at 512-346-5196 or email [email protected] for a Reservation

KBMO Diagnostics:
KBMO Diagnostics is the laboratory that we use to process the food inflammatory test or FIT Test, that we provide to our patients. The FIT Test is a patented, multi-pathway delayed food sensitivity test. The test uses patented technology that measures both IgG and Immune Complexes, the most common food-related pathways in the body. This enables the FIT test to be able to identify, food sensitivities, inflammation, and leaky gut from a single test.
Food Sensitivities affect more than 100 million people worldwide. They are very difficult to identify because the symptoms can be delayed up to 72 hours after eating.
F IT Tests will be available at a discounted rate of $150-$200(reg. $389-489).
Please let us know if you are interested in the FIT Test so that we can be sure to have a test available for you. They will be first come first serve.
------------------------------------
OralDNA Labs:
OralDNA is the lab that processes oral bacteria tests. The OralDNA tests for the presence of 5 bad bacteria in the mouth. It is a super easy salivary test. By simply spitting into a small tube we can assess the types of bacteria that could be leading to a host of problems including periodontal disease and inflammation.
5 b acteria tested for:
Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans - Aa
Primary cause of rapid alveolar bone loss in both children and adults, severe periodontitis and dental implant failure. Research studies have shown this pathogen increases risk for Cardiovascular Disease, Ischemic Stroke, Brain Abscesses, & Heart Infections
Porphyromonas gingivalis - Pg
Primary cause of alveolar bone loss, periodontitis and implant failure. Research studies have shown this pathogen increases risk for Heart Attack, Ischemic Stroke, Type Two Diabetes, Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, and other inflammatory diseases.
Treponema denticola - Td
Primary cause of periodontitis and implant failure (peri-implantitus). Recent studies have also demonstrated its association with Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease.
Tannerella forsythia - Tf
Primary cause of periodontitis and implant failure (peri-implantitus). It's effect on other health issues is not as well known.
Fusobacterium nucleatum - Fn
Associated with periodontitis and implant failure. Among the systemic issues is that it has been associated with preterm birth, low birth weight babies, and fetal death. This pathogen tends to facilitate the movement of other oral pathogens into the circulatory system.
Please let us know if you are interested in the OralDNA test so that we can be sure to have a test available for you. They will be first come first serve. OralDNA test available for $110 (lab processing fee only)

Wednesday 10/22 from 8 AM to 1 PM Inna Benyukhis will be here to discuss Nutritional Therapy:
Inna Benyukhis is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) who runs Empowered Nutrition with Inna, specializing in helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and digestive issues. Nutritional therapy takes a holistic, bio-individual approach to achieving health by focusing on the body's natural capacity to heal itself when given the proper nutritional and
lifestyle support. NTPs like Inna focus on key areas of health such as digestion, blood sugar regulation, hydration, fatty acid balance, and more, guiding clients toward a nutrient-dense whole foods diet.
Inna's journey into nutritional therapy began when her youngest daughter was diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression. Her desire to understand how food impacts mental and physical
health led her to transition from a two-decade career in IT to becoming a certified NTP.
Inna offers a variety of services, including:
1. Signature Program – This program addresses four key pillars of health: Rhythm Resetting, Nutritional Healing, Stress Resiliency, and Functional Therapy. It includes specialized testing and tailored nutrition, lifestyle changes, and supplementation, all
customized to the individual’s needs.
2. RESTART Program – A 5-week sugar detox group program. The group meets weekly for 90 minutes via Zoom meetings. Inna provides guidance and online group support.
3. Pantry Clean-Out – A personalized session, either in-person or virtual, to help you optimize your pantry and make healthier choices.
4. Grocery Store and Farmers Market Visits – Inna guides you through a grocery store or market, educating you on how to read labels, avoid marketing traps, and make healthier food choices.
Inna's practice is entirely virtual, making it convenient for clients to access her services from
home or work.
