Health Care Assistant Recruitment Event

We are looking to grow our team of Health care Assistants (HCA) to work across a variety of wards. There are a variety of positions ranging from 23 hours to 37.5 hours. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have a kind and caring attitude and who will be positive team members whether you are "new to care" or have previous experience in a health care role.

• Band 2 - £18,870
• Between 23 and 37.5 hours

Main duties of the job

As a HCA you will provide personal care and support to patients at their most vulnerable times. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide a compassionate, caring and safe environment for our patients. Your application should highlight your experience in order for the shortlisting panel to be able to select the most suitably qualified individuals to join our team.

Some of your duties will include;

Assist patients in meeting their hygiene needs and carrying out all aspects of personal care and grooming.

Assist in the prevention of pressure sores developing as directed by the Registered Nurse in conjunction with the patient’s plan of care.

Enable patients to maintain/improve their mobility through exercise and using mobility appliances as directed by individual care plans.

Undertake a range of clerical duties in the absence of or in support of the Ward Clerk to ensure a smooth running service/ward.

After sign in and before your interview, you’ll have the opportunity to visit an Education Zone to find out more about the role and career progression opportunities from on-site professionals.

Following your visit to the Education Zone, you’ll then have the opportunity to interview for the position. Interviews are approximately 20 minutes and we aim to interview you within 1 hour of your arrival.

If you are successful on the day we will ask you to complete some of the mandatory pre-employment checks we require, so please do ensure that you bring the following documentation:

• One form of photographic ID e.g. Passport, driving licence and a document confirming your address e.g. bank statement, utility bill
