Health & Safety Training
About this Event
Delivered as part of Spring North’s member training programme, this practical workshop supports charities, community groups and VCFSE organisations to understand their responsibilities in creating safe working environments. Participants will explore core health and safety duties, how to identify and mitigate risks, and the procedures required to manage incidents effectively.
The session covers developing and implementing health and safety policies, recognising common hazards in community settings, and ensuring staff and volunteers understand their role in maintaining safe practice. Attendees will work through real examples from across our network, with guided activities that build confidence in applying health and safety principles day‑to‑day.
Members will leave with a clearer understanding of organisational responsibilities, improved confidence in assessing and managing risks, and practical steps to strengthen safety culture and protect the people and communities they serve.
