Retreat Overview
Social workers and other healers spend their days holding space for others—navigating suffering, advocating for justice, and offering care in complex systems. This retreat is an intentional pause for those who give so much.
Rooted in the yogic principle of Ahimsa, we explore how compassion can extend inward—not only toward those we serve, but toward ourselves. Through gentle movement, breathwork, reflection, and community, participants are invited to soften self-criticism, release what constricts, and reconnect with their own capacity for restoration.

Meet Your Hosts
Pamela Altemos, LCSW-C, RYT
Mountain Bluebird Therapy & Yoga, Founder/Owner
As a certified trauma-informed yoga instructor and licensed therapist specializing in trauma, I create grounded, supportive spaces for participants to reconnect with their bodies and rebuild a sense of safety from within. Through somatic movement, breathwork, and relational awareness, I guide participants in cultivating resilience, emotional capacity, and self-compassion. My approach is holistic, restorative, and rooted in honoring each person’s unique healing journey.
Kara Silber, LCSW-C, RYT, Kripalu-certified Mindful Outdoor Guide
I am a Baltimore-based yoga teacher, Kripalu-certified outdoor mindful guide, and city school social worker with a deep passion for nature and movement. My yoga flows—whether on the mat or under open skies—are an invitation to reconnect with your body, the land beneath you, and the elements that shape us all to bring healing, presence and connection with the natural world.
Let’s flow, breathe, and rediscover awe—together.
