About this Event

This is a delightful concert, so appropriate for this remembrance season. It's certainly not depressing despite the title !. We start with Faure's ''Requiem'' which is well known for its comforting and gentle melodies. The Dublin Youth Training Choir then sings Lia Grier ''Healing the Brokenhearted: A Requiem'' . This requiem was written to support the survivors and parents of the mass shooting in December 2012 at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, USA. These young voices evoke solace and reflection in the wake of that awful tragedy. The final piece we sing is exciting, uplifting and will send you home buzzing. Dan Forrest ''Requiem for the Living"offers offers hope and comfort for us the living.
