Healing Herbal Lotions Workshop

Let’s put those freshly harvested and dried botanicals to good use -- and turn them into your new favorite skin-care products! One of the best ways to receive the benefits of herbs is through the creation of healing potions. Learn what our skin needs to feel and look its best with ingredients you understand and can pronounce.
During this 2-hour workshop, we’ll learn the basics of herbal lotion-making. We’ll make a list of the plants we can grow right in our back yards that are great allies in our daily skincare routine. Participants take home lotion and skin scrub we create together with locally grown, “beyond organic” medicinals.
$10 materials + $28 instructional = $38 class fee

Although herbal preparations seem magical, there is practical knowledge that goes into creating them. During these hands-on workshops, we will focus on basic but important steps to produce herbal vinegars and oxymels, herbal skin care products, and tinctures. Participants will leave feeling empowered to make their very own herbal products, using ingredients that are safe and healthy for the maker and the environment. * Stay tuned for upcoming workshops!
INSTRUCTOR: Bernadett Szabo lives in Pataskala, OH on a small herb, flower and vegetable farm. She was born in Hungary where she spent summers in her grandmother’s gardens. She follows deep organic practices with some biodynamic principles on her homestead. Her business is Bernadett's Farmacy.
