The Healing Hearts Grief Program helps children ages 5–18 process the loss of a loved one. Children will connect with peers and express emotions through therapeutic activities as they navigate the grief process.Participants attend four classes, each focusing on a different topic: emotions, memories, coping skills and changes. Parent/caregiver classes meet concurrently and cover the same topics, enabling continuous grief work at home.
All programs are FREE and dinner will be provided. Healing Hearts meets at Prisma Health Children's Hospital–Midlands. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m.; classes run 6–8 p.m. All sessions meet on Thursdays.
