On May 16, HEADS IN MOTION returns to The Ideal with their annual, always-packed tribute to Talking Heads—a show that’s become part ritual, part dance-floor fever dream. If you know, you know: the room fills up, the groove locks in, and suddenly nobody’s standing still.

Opening the night is Colorado’s Atlas Radio, a funk-fueled jam machine led by guitarist Blake Beitzel. Their live sets are equal parts precision and chaos in the best way—blending funk, jazz, blues, psych rock, and flashes of EDM into something that feels alive and unpredictable. One minute you’re deep in the pocket, the next you’re swept up in a soaring solo or a left-turn mashup you didn’t see coming.
